Hi, my name is Andrea! I have several years of experience working with children of different ages - from babies and toddlers, preschoolers, all the way to older children aged 10+. I studied in England where I completed a two-year Level 3 Education and Childcare programme at college. As part of the programme, I had the opportunity to work with children aged 4–5. Working in a group of 30 children alongside a nursery educator, I developed skills such as planning and delivering activities, preparing materials and adapting content to different needs. This experience enabled me to develop patience, flexibility, and a deeper understanding of early childhood development. I learned to recognise and respond to the needs of the youngest children, creating a safe and supportive environment.

I have recently completed my Bachelor’s degree in English Language, Lingusitics and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at the York St John Univeristy. This is particularly useful when working with older children as I can help them with learning English and homework. Of course, this knowledge can also be applied when working with younger children through songs, stories and play in English!

I have also enrolled in a Master’s degree in Education (MEd) at the University of Essex, which will help me deepen my knowledge and skills with the aim of working in a school in the future. As the programme is fully online, it should not affect my availability.
