About me

Hi, my name is Mia and I’m 23 years old. I study physics at the Faculty of Science in Split. My babysitting experience started when I was around 15 at family gatherings, where I would regularly end up being the one entertaining the children. Even though I study physics, my second choice was early and preschool education. I still get to fulfill my love for children in a way, as I’ve chosen the teaching track for my master’s degree, where I take courses related to education such as educational psychology, pedagogy, didactics, and strategies for working with gifted students.

In my free time, I love to travel—I’ve already visited 10 European countries. I also enjoy singing and dancing. I have experience babysitting older children, and I mostly care for my two cousins (ages 5 and 7), whom I absolutely adore. I’m always coming up with new games for us to play together. I remember that as a child, I wanted someone who would be patient with me and give me their full attention, so I try to provide that for the children I take care of.

At university, I’ve learned a lot about working with kids and about teaching methods. Whenever I have the time, I tutor students in various subjects. I also volunteer with the Physics Society Split and ESN Split.
